ReSOURCE Catalog

I’m thrilled to announce the publishing and release of the ReSOURCE catalog with two of my most recent projects NOW IN PRINT! I’m beyond honored to be included in this historic booklet with some of the most amazingly talented artists of repurposed materials from around the world.

Not only was my City of Gold art prominently displayed at the South Side Community Art Center in 2024 alongside my commissioned functional art benches/garden planters, but now it’s been put into print and added to the annals of art history, thanks in part to Northwestern University and Rebecca Zorach. I’m forever grateful to Patric McCoy for recommending me as an artist to be included in the dialogue when selecting the artists to participate in this astounding exhibition. I’m so proud of all the artists who were selected, lord knows there are so many other artists who could have been placed in this position, but I’m humbled to know there’s another asterisk added to my oeuvre because of the decades of hard work and dedication to my craft. I call it a craft because it has absolutely transformed my life in so many magical ways when I was allowed to simply create and bring beauty into a world that seemed oftentimes dismal and bleak (shoutout to my brother Bleek, god rest his soul) Special thanks again to everyone who still beleives in me despite taking several breaks to re-evaluate my purpose in this art practice. There aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am. Thank you to my friends and family who stayed for the journey, and for those who jumped ship, for giving me the space to escape and create something aesthetically wonderful from the turmoil. To my wife, Alexy, I love you immensely and I’m proud of your journey as an artist, educator, mother, gardener and just for being the perfect flower, blossoming each season and nurturing our little family with the abundance of intellectual fruit we’ve been fortunate to harvest on the regular …. There’s always more in store.

STAY TUNED IN!!
